Voice and Gabe are a young couple finally taking the leap of moving in together. Gabe loves the new house, but Voice has some trouble getting comfortable. But this house is no ordinary house, and soon the walls start talking to her, sharing the story of the former occupants’ love, frustrations...and obsession with hats. The Hatmaker’s Wife is a sweet, surreal parable by Lauren Yee, teasing time and space to explore ideas of family, home, and the generational consequences of how we care for those we love.
