A Brief History

In 1976 two islanders, Laurel Watts, and theatrical agent Tish Lopez, felt there was a need for a theatre company on Vashon, and Drama Dock was soon born. The first production was Neil Simon’s “Plaza Suite” , which was an immediate success. Since that time Drama Dock has staged well over one hundred productions including twenty eight plus musicals. Drama Dock remains the longest serving theatre company on the island. Theatre remains a core production offering, but since 2020 Drama Dock also seeks to diversify production work to include music concerts, cabarets, and content for multi-media.
